"Getting a Bigger Piece of the Pie"
- Tracy Courage, AY Magazine, January 2011
"Chefs Scott McGehee and John Beachboard had a vision when they opened ZaZa Fine Salad & Wood-Oven Pizza Company in 2008: serve Napoli-style, wood-oven pizzas, fresh salads and homemade Italian gelato using the freshest ingredients available, at an affordable cost in a fast, casual atmosphere. The concept has worked so well in Little Rock’s Heights neighborhood that the business partners opened a second restaurant in The Village at Hendrix in Conway last October. And that’s just the beginning." {click here for the full review}

"ZAZA in a Nutshell"
- "Eat Arkansas" Blog, Arkansas Times, December 30, 2010
"Now, where did I put that pesky review? Some time back I wrote about Za Za's fabulous salads, but heck if I can find that article. I suppose it fell through the cracks when we migrated to our new server here. No matter. Now there are much better pictures to showcase the still-consistent awesomeness that is Za Za. How can I say that? Well, I just darn well like the place. I mean, the pizzas have a flavor I have found nowhere else in the state. The salads are generous. And the gelato. Egads, the gelato. I have gone so many times JUST for the gelato... But I digress. Pretty pictures and a halfway decent story about the Little Rock created (and Conway exported) shop over on Tie Dye Travels." {click here for the full review}

"Going Gaga Over ZAZA"
- Soiree Magazine, November 1, 2010
"Little Rock Soiree staff members are singing the praises of their recent lunch at Zaza in the Heights. There's a second location now open at 1050 Ellis Ave., Conway (501-336-9292). Here's what their review says about the Asian salad, a mix of field greens, romaine, chicken tenders, shaved carrots, snow peas, mandarin oranges, red cabbage, cilantro, green onion, wonton crisps and almonds tossed with a creamy Asian ginger dressing: Typically when we think of ginger dressing, images of Japanese hibachi grill salads drenched in a thick ginger goo dance in our heads. You can smell the dressing before the salad arrives, and the intensity of the ginger singes the palate. Not so with the Zaza dressing. We ordered our salad medium dressed, and while plenty gingery, it had a mild and pleasantly spicy flavor, enhanced by chunks of breaded chicken breast, carrot and snap peas and crunchy, lightly salted wonton crisps. Here and there, we happened upon a cold and juicy bite of mandarin orange, and it sealed the deal. We were in love with this salad." {click here for the full review} |
